Terms and conditions
Version of 25 October 2026. This is a translation; the French version prevails.
1. Scope
These terms and conditions govern vehicle storage contracts between MEMO TRAVEL SA (“GaragePrivé”) and its clients, together with related services (surveillance, battery charge maintenance, periodic start-ups, protective cover, tyre pressure check, driving on request). The storage contract is subject to the rules on deposit contracts (art. 472 ff. of the Swiss Code of Obligations), subject to these terms.
2. Packages and prices
The 1-, 3-, 6- and 12-month storage stays and their monthly prices per vehicle are described on the Pricing page. Prices are in Swiss francs, including 8.1% VAT. Any additional service is agreed with the client in advance.
3. Formation of the contract
The client books online or through our team, at least 24 hours before arrival. Availability is checked at the time of booking and the contract is formed as soon as the automatic confirmation is emailed to the client. If, exceptionally, GaragePrivé cannot welcome the vehicle on the confirmed date, it proposes another date; failing agreement, any amount already paid is refunded in full.
4. Term and termination
The contract runs for the stay chosen (1, 3, 6 or 12 months). The client may collect the vehicle at any time; the period booked remains due in full, including on early collection. At its end the stay may be renewed; if the vehicle stays without renewal, storage continues from month to month at the 1-month stay price. GaragePrivé may terminate immediately in the event of a serious breach by the client.
5. Payment
The stay price is payable in advance for the whole period, online by credit card (through Adyen), by TWINT or PostFinance (through Datatrans), or by QR invoice where GaragePrivé agrees. If payment is late, GaragePrivé sends a reminder; if payment is not made within 30 days it may suspend non-essential services and exercise its right of retention over the vehicle (art. 895 ff. of the Swiss Civil Code) until paid in full.
6. Intake
On intake GaragePrivé draws up a photographic condition report, signed or accepted by the client. The client confirms they own the vehicle or are authorised to entrust it, states its value and reports any known defect. The vehicle is handed over without valuables or hazardous materials; the fuel level is left as advised by GaragePrivé.
6a. Included services and driving
Every space includes: 24/7 surveillance of the car park, a private secure space, battery charge maintenance, periodic start-up of the vehicle and a check of its main functions, a protective cover and a tyre pressure check before the vehicle is returned. These services follow the client’s instructions; they are neither mechanical servicing nor an inspection of the vehicle. At the client’s express request GaragePrivé moves the vehicle and takes it for a drive; the client then confirms that the vehicle is registered and insured for road use and that the policy covers a GaragePrivé driver.
7. Release
The client requests release with at least three hours’ notice, between 4am and 1am, 7 days a week, via the client area, by email or by phone. The vehicle is handed over at the car park, Avenue de l’Étang 55, 1219 Châtelaine. A condition report is made on release.
8. Liability and insurance
GaragePrivé keeps vehicles with the care required of a depositary. It is liable for damage caused intentionally or by gross negligence and otherwise within the limits of its liability insurance, stated in the confirmation. It is not liable for normal wear, pre-existing defects or damage caused by force majeure. The client keeps their own comprehensive insurance during storage.
9. Data protection
Personal data is processed in accordance with our privacy policy.
10. Changes
GaragePrivé may change these terms and its prices. Changes are notified at least 30 days before they take effect; the client may then terminate the contract as of that date.
11. Governing law and jurisdiction
These terms are governed by Swiss law. The exclusive place of jurisdiction is Geneva, subject to mandatory statutory venues, in particular for consumers.
