Privacy policy

1. Controller

MEMO TRAVEL SA, Quai du Seujet 12, 1201 Genève, Switzerland — contact@garageprive.ch. This policy applies the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP) and, for people in the European Union, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

2. Data we collect

Forms (booking, viewing, delivery request): name, company, email, phone, vehicle details, requested date and message.
Payment: payment details are entered directly with our PCI DSS-certified providers: Adyen for credit cards, Datatrans for TWINT and PostFinance; we never see or store them. We receive the name, email, amount and payment status.
Contract: vehicles in our care, condition reports and photos, movements, invoices.
Technical data: when you visit the site, our host records the IP address, date, page and browser in server logs for security purposes. To protect our forms against abuse, we keep an encrypted, non-reversible fingerprint of your IP address for no more than 24 hours.

3. Purposes

Answering your requests, concluding and performing the storage contract, collecting payments, meeting our legal obligations (accounting, VAT) and keeping the site secure. We do not use your data for advertising without your consent and never sell it.

4. Recipients and transfers abroad

Website and email hosting: Infomaniak Network SA, Rue Eugène-Marziano 25, 1227 Les Acacias (GE), Suisse (Switzerland).
Payment: Datatrans AG (Zurich, Switzerland) and Adyen N.V. (Amsterdam, the Netherlands). Switzerland recognises the Netherlands as providing an adequate level of data protection.
Our accountant and insurer receive only the data they need for their task, under a duty of confidentiality.

5. Retention

Enquiries that do not lead to a contract are deleted after 12 months. Contract and accounting data is kept for 10 years, as required by the Swiss Code of Obligations. Server logs are kept for no more than 90 days.

6. Cookies and analytics

This site uses no advertising or tracking cookies. The Datatrans and Adyen payment pages use cookies needed to secure transactions.

7. Your rights

You may request access to your data, its correction, deletion or a copy, and object to processing, by writing to contact@garageprive.ch. You may also contact the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC) or, in the EU, your national authority.

8. Security

The site is served over HTTPS only. Access to client data is limited to staff who need it, and our providers are bound by confidentiality obligations.
